Design is here, and design is there, but, with the growth in technology and the shrinking of the world, design seems to hold a new profound importance in every day life. Everyone, whether you are a person who is subscribed to a certain nostalgic culture  or a person who is embracing the ever-changing days of the future as it happens now must acknowledge the implications of good design. Like everything else in our world, and even more so now,  there is an extensive amount of garbage that people indulge in via the internet. On one hand sure, i can see the argument that most of it is just fun little things, “doo-daads” of the sort, little bits of happiness to brighten a boring day. But, with so much garbage being guzzled down, i think it is safe to say that there could be some interesting if not horrible repercussions from all this. If you think i’m a little off, just look at the generations that were plopped in front of the T.V. for hours on end. It has its consequences. With that being said there is the other side of the ball. The side that is starting to take responsibility for all the information that is being taken in, and, with the information on the net becoming better organized, it is opening fantastic windows to view the world through, which just a few years ago could have only been thought about as one was laying in bed thinking of the future and what dreams may come. An advocate of this organized information awakening is TED.com .  Although Design in the, ‘visual’ sense is not their primary focus, what they have been doing is designing information, and doing so in a beautiful way. I can not find the one i was originally going to use, it has vanished somewhere, but i think this one gets the point across. ^*^ And if you visit the Website your journey will continue.  <^>

If we can make the universe around us accessible to anyone with a computer, then imagine what we can do with the simple things right in front of us. There are not to many things i subscribe to fully, but good design and what it can do for communication and the imagination is something for the time being, i will. We have so many great tools at our finger tips, like no period ever before us that we know about. All we have to do is take the time and energy to make all the things we want out of them, any way we wish. Your thoughts?Picture+3
